Worldview Productions' Unsung Heroes

A secret weapon in the job of spreading the dharma to as many beings as possible is the Worldview Productions team.

Ask yourself this question: if you wanted to make Geshe Michael teaching a class simultaneously available to anyone in the world who wanted to see it, how would you do that?

The answer is, the Worldview Productions team!

Worldview Productions was set up as a service organization to allow the ACI production team to serve sister organizations in the Worldview Group. Since other organizations in this group work in politically sensitive regions, it's not possible to use the ACI name there. So Worldview Productions is a group of six people who also moonlight as the ACI staff. They have marshaled hundreds of volunteers who help them put on productions. These vary from two weeks of classes in the Sedona headquarters building for the benefit of the Yoga Studies Institute, to live videos celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Asian Legacy Library, to intensive translation courses by the Diamond Cutter Classics group.

The Worldview Productions team sets up video equipment and lighting with staff to run it and troubleshoot problems. They organize scripts, schedules and graphic assets like photos, videos and slide presentations. They create payment plans and options and make sure back-end operations support it. They make web pages and design and implement marketing pushes to draw people to sign up. They find, organize, support and nurture hundreds of volunteers to help, like the volunteers who simultaneously translate events into a half-dozen languages or more. And they do this for any Worldview organization that asks--for free!

There is also an Asian Classics Institute production team, consisting of the same people, that does the same work for Asian Classics Institute programs, such as the 18 ACI Foundation Courses, Lam Rim, Nagarjuna's Wisdom, and The Angel Debates the Devil series.

Kudos and congratulations to these hard-working, dedicated people. And you too could become one of them.

Worldview Productions needs more volunteers--always!
